Evolve Grand Forks Hires Executive Director, Announces New Name

Evolve Grand Forks, a local non-profit entrepreneurship organization, has hired Collin T. Hanson, CNP as the Executive Director of The 701, Grand Forks’ first co-working space. Hanson will assume this new role on January 3, 2017.

Greater Grand Forks is teeming with spirited entrepreneurs who are in need of a collaborative, affordable working space that can provide the necessary support for them to be successful,” said Hanson. “As a Certified Non-Profit Professional (CNP) and vision-oriented leader, I look forward to contributing to the success of everyone who enters The 701 coworking space.

Collin is nationally credentialed by the Non-Profit Leadership Alliance, and has worked and volunteered for the University of North Dakota Non-Profit Leadership Program, the Grand Forks Downtown Development Association, the New Rockford Area Betterment Corporation, and the North Dakota American Legion Boys State. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in non-profit leadership from the University of North Dakota, where he received the Lillian Elsinga Outstanding Student Leader Award and the Crockett Award for University leadership.

Formerly, Evolve ND, the non-profit has changed its name to Evolve Grand Forks to better reflect its market and support area. The name change is effective immediately.

Said Brandon Baumbach, President,

Our focus has always been on supporting entrepreneurs in Grand Forks, and the name now better reflects it. We contribute to the North Dakota network of support for entrepreneurs through partnership with similar organizations around the state. In fact, members of The 701 coworking space will have access to other coworking spaces around the state and region for no additional cost.”
